Today is about a tradition among exchange students, which is almost as well known as the farewell book: the "exchange student TAG"!
This is a catalogue consisting of 13 questions.
It is precisely these questions that the exchange student asks themself, making it possible to get to know them better.

1. What's my name?
- My name is Lilli.
2. How old am I?
- I turned 16 a few months ago.
3. Where do I come from?
- I come from the green heart of Germany.
4. Where do I want to go?
- I will spend my year abroad in Latvia.
5. With which organisation do I fly?
- Youth For Understanding.
6. Why Latvia of all places?
- I always wanted to spend a year abroad in a rather "untypical" exchange country. In addition, I have always been interested in Northern European countries, especially Latvia.
7. How long will I be away?
- I will be away for a whole school year, about 10 months.
8. When do I fly?
- End of August.
9. Do I already have a host family?
- No, unfortunately not yet.
10. Why do I do a year abroad?
- It is a unique opportunity for a year to immerse into a completely new culture, to discover other traditions, to meet new friends and people, to learn a language and to broad my horizon in many things.
11. How did I get the idea?
- I have always been interested in other cultures and countries. And since I saw a video from another exchange student 5 years ago, it was clear to me that I would also like to do a year abroad later.
12. What do I expect from a year abroad?
- Many new impressions, a wonderful time and unforgettable memories!
13. How do I solve the problem with the suitcase?
- I am optimistic and hope that everything will fit in my suitcase. If it is not enough, I will let me send the rest to Latvia by post.
