First day of school
Hello my dears <3
The 2nd September, the day I was extremely scared about. Why? It was my first school day in Latvia!
So usually school starts every year on the 1st September, but unfortunally this was a Sunday this year so school started one day later on Monday. So in the morning I made myself ready and put a fancy dress on (that´s a Latvian tradition) before my host brother and I went to school at 9:30 o´clock taking our flowers with us, that my host parents bought earlier that morning (another Latvian tradition). So around quarter to ten I met my class teacher, who will also be my math teacher and who introduced me to Marta, one of the girls in my class.
Then Marta and I went downstairs and on the street where I et my other class mates. Then the ceremony was about to start: every class entered the school and was introduced by the principle.
Then the major of my city, the principle and a few teachers hold speeches and a few students got presents for doing something great. Then there was a lot of singing, taking photos and stuff like this before we finally went to our class room where the teacher told us some information and we gave her the flowers.
Later on
that day to of my classmates showed me around the city and helped me to buy
some school stuff.
