Rundāles pils and retro cars

Today will be about the trip I went to with my host family on yesterday (Saturday, 07. September 2019).

So around half past ten we started our trip to Rundāles pils, which is quite famous palace in Latvia and truly beautifull. But first we had to drive through the country side, which means: two hours of dirty unpaved roads. (Here you can get an impression!)
But then we arrived and it was extremely impressive with all it´s gardens and rooms and halls…
We had a private quide who showed us around in the private and public rooms and told us a lot about the quiet interesting history before we explored the gardens by our own.

After we visited the palace for a few hours we went to a retro car exhibition which was pretty cool and my host brother and I were even allowed to drive a motorcycle with sidecar, which was a lot of fun.
 
 


Later we went to a restaurant and ate dinner before we drove home, including car pool karaoke.
All in all it was pretty cool and also interesting.
